The work of missions is taken seriously by the leadership of Scholls Community Church as they understand the mandate given by the Word of God:

Matthew 28:19-20
“Go ye therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age”.

Acts 1:8
…”you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth”

The Church understands this to mean that missions starts at home and reaches out from there. That is the reason we have our children’s ministry and Scholls Institute of Christian Leadership. Starting at an early age we want people to have an understanding of Gods’ Word and learn how to share it with others.

Our Director of Missions has the responsibility to inform and educate the membership about missions; it’s biblical basis, how it is implemented, how to support missionaries, and bringing missionaries in to share their work and their needs. A missionary emphasis is planned each quarter and an annual missionary conference will be planned each year around the MISSION CONNEXION conference time.  The annual Jam Festival is also a part of our local mission outreach.

Missionary work teams will be formed for projects as they come about during the year.  Pray with us that the Lord of the harvest will raise up His workers right in our midst.

Yes, missions is an essential part of fulfilling the act of …”presenting every man complete in Christ”.
